Rep. Jim Rigby and House Fire & EMS Caucus to meet Cambria County first responders

State Rep. James Rigby | Pennsylvania 71st Legislative District

On May 10, 2024, Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset) and members of the House Fire and EMS Caucus announced a meeting with Cambria County firefighters and emergency responders. The aim of this gathering is to discuss the needs of those on the front lines. The media has been invited to join and participate in this listening tour.

The itinerary for Monday, May 13 is as follows:

- A meeting at Rep. Rigby’s 1021 Ferndale Ave. district office at 10 a.m.

- A visit to Johnstown Fire Company, located at 401 Washington St., Johnstown, at 10:30 a.m. Here, they will meet Fire Chief Robert Statler and his Treat No Transport Medical Response team.

- At noon, they will be at Richland Fire Company, situated at 1321 Scalp Ave., Johnstown—an all-volunteer house that was previously consolidated—to meet Fire Chief Wes Meyers.

- Lunch will be held at Rep. Rigby’s Ferndale district office at 1:30 p.m.

- Finally, they will visit West Hills Fire Company, located at 1000 Luzerne St., Johnstown—a mostly volunteer house attached to Hilltop EMS—at 2:45 p.m., where they will meet Fire Chief Kevin Schrock.

Rep. Jim Rigby represents the 71st Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
