State Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. and State Representative Jim Rigby have announced a $1.8 million grant from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) awarded to Mount Aloysius College. The funding is designated for improvements to the college's library.

“Sen. Langerholc and I were recently on campus to check out this project and get a firsthand look at the assets which Mount Aloysius students and the surrounding community are going to be able to access,” stated Rigby. “We applaud the investment that school officials are making in the educational product they offer to create an even more attractive choice for prospective students.”

The RACP, administered by the Office of the Budget, supports projects involving regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvements. Mount Aloysius College is currently upgrading its library with plans that include a new career center, a state-of-the-art cybersecurity lab on its first floor, virtual interview rooms, and workstations available for public use.

“This funding helps ensure that college students in our region continue to have access to cutting-edge resources,” said Langerholc. “Providing Mount Aloysius students with modernized workspaces is just one way to foster a productive educational environment and support the college as it continues to drive economic and educational activity in Cambria County.”
