School safety grants awarded to districts in Rep. Rigby's area

State Rep. James Rigby | Pennsylvania 71st Legislative District

State Representative Jim Rigby announced that schools within the 71st Legislative District have been awarded funding from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s School Safety and Security Committee.

“I am glad to see several schools in the 71st District receive these grant dollars,” said Rigby. “Making sure our students are safe and have strong mental health support will improve the quality of their education. This funding will be put to good use and help our students achieve their potential in school and beyond.”

The grants were allocated to eight school districts for safety and mental health initiatives: Cambria Heights School District received $123,830; Conemaugh Township Area School District was granted $113,820; Ferndale Area School District obtained $111,948; Forest Hills School District was awarded $131,391; Penn Cambria School District secured $128,208; Portage Area School District acquired $115,160; Richland School District got $128,517; Windber Area School District collected $122,764.
