State Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. and State Representative Jim Rigby have announced a $1.8 million grant for Mount Aloysius College aimed at enhancing its library facilities. The funding comes from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), which is managed by the Office of the Budget to support regional improvement projects.

Jim Rigby stated, “Sen. Langerholc and I were recently on campus to check out this project and get a firsthand look at the assets which Mount Aloysius students and the surrounding community are going to be able to access.” He praised the college's efforts in improving their educational offerings.

The grant will aid ongoing upgrades at the college's library, which include creating a new career center, a cybersecurity lab, virtual interview rooms, and public workstations. Langerholc emphasized that “this funding helps ensure that college students in our region continue to have access to cutting-edge resources.”

The initiative aims not only to modernize student facilities but also to boost economic and educational activities within Cambria County.
