State Representative Jim Rigby, representing Cambria and Somerset counties, is set to lead a ceremony to honor two brothers from Johnstown who died during World War II. The event will see the renaming of the bridge that carries Galleria Drive/State Route 3031 over U.S. Route 219 in Richland Township as the PFC Paul O. Malzi and PFC Harry R. Malzi Memorial Bridge.

PFC Paul Malzi was killed on November 8, 1944, during offensive operations at the Seille River in France. His brother, PFC Harry Malzi, passed away on November 25, 1945, due to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident while serving on occupation duty in Waizenkirchen, Austria.

The ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 26 at 1 p.m., hosted by Rep. Rigby alongside members of the Malzi family at Richland American Legion Post 849 located at 390 Oakridge Drive in Johnstown.
