The Bishop McCort Catholic High School Winter Formal will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at This Is It. The dance will run from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All students should arrive to the dance no later than 6:45 p.m. No students will be permitted to leave the grounds before 9:00 pm unless prior written permission has been submitted to Mr. Pfeil for approval. Tickets will be on sale in the business office after registration for the dance closes. Admission to the dance is $25 per person/$50 per couple. An announcement will be made in school once tickets go on sale.
All guests in attendance may be subject to an alcohol breathalyzer test. This testing will be conducted by school personnel or trained health care providers at specific intervals as students enter the dance. The school will also respond and test any student or guest at the dance who appears as if he/she is under the influence. Any student refusing to be tested will be denied access to the dance and his/her parent will be called. If a student is deemed to be under the influence of alcohol, they will be subject to school discipline and police involvement. This is a formal event. Appropriate attire and behavior are the expectations of the evening. Dancing is to be safe and appropriate. No “grinding” or suggestive dancing will be permitted. For young ladies, only modest-cut dresses and or skirts should be selected. Dresses and or skirts that are too tight, short, or revealing, with excessive cleavage, bare midriffs, bare sides, and/or low open backs, or with only sheer fabric in these areas, are not appropriate for this event. Grooming and piercings for all must be in accordance with the BMCHS School Handbook. Students who are not dressed appropriately will be denied admission and/or subject to disciplinary action. Refunds will not be given to students who are denied admission due to the violation of school policy.
The purpose of these policies is to ensure and promote the safety and well-being of our students and guests, and to hopefully provide these young adults more reasons not make a poor decision. It is not our goal to set out and catch students violating the rules, but rather to protect them and help them have a night full of happy memories with their friends. The signature of both student and parent is required for attendance to the dance. Thank you for your support and understanding. We are confident together we can ensure the safety of our students during this exciting time of the school year.
