Cost of college went down for all students at the Commonwealth Technical Institute

Tuition and fees fell 25.2 percent for 2018-19 at the Commonwealth Technical Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $12,594 to attend the two-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $4,242 less than the $16,836 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 39 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 35 students received grants or scholarships totaling $199,257.

Including all undergraduates (175), 71 students used grants or scholarships totaling $397,182.
