Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. is set to hold two events in Cambria County for residents needing to replace damaged license plates. The initiative aims to assist individuals whose plates have become unreadable due to issues such as loss of reflectivity, peeling, blistering, or discoloration.

Attendees can visit the designated locations where police officers will assess the condition of the plates and aid with necessary paperwork. “Once an application is submitted to PennDOT,” said a spokesperson, “a replacement plate with the same design and a new number will arrive by mail to the vehicle owner’s home address.” It was noted that retaining the original registration number requires either having a personalized plate or paying an additional fee.

The scheduled events are on Wednesday, June 11 at Cambria Heights Elementary School in Carrolltown from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Thursday, June 12 at Greater Johnstown High School in Johnstown during the same hours.

Gwenn Dando is available for further contact regarding these events.
