Rep. Jim Rigby, representing Cambria and Somerset counties, will be hosting a listening tour to engage with local firefighters and emergency responders in Cambria County. The event aims to discuss the needs of those working on the front lines in fire and emergency medical services (EMS). Media representatives are invited to join and participate in the discussions.

The tour is scheduled for Monday, May 13, starting at 10 a.m. at Rep. Rigby’s district office located at 1021 Ferndale Ave. The itinerary includes a visit to Johnstown Fire Company at 10:30 a.m., where participants will meet Fire Chief Robert Statler and his Treat No Transport Medical Response team.

At noon, the tour will proceed to Richland Fire Company at 1321 Scalp Ave., an all-volunteer house that was previously consolidated, to meet with Fire Chief Wes Meyers. A lunch break is planned for 1:30 p.m. back at Rep. Rigby’s Ferndale district office.

The final stop is set for 2:45 p.m. at West Hills Fire Company on Luzerne St., which operates mostly with volunteers and is connected to Hilltop EMS. There, attendees will meet Fire Chief Kevin Schrock.
