St. Andrew recently issued the following announcement.

From the Desk of Fr. Crowe

Note for Memorial Day:

The Mass on Monday, May 30 will be the extraordinary form mass at 8am. Confessions will be available 7:30-7:50am instead of 6:30-6:50PM. Please note this is in observance of the holiday and the regular schedule will resume the following week.

With the increased attention on the possibility of Roe v. Wade being overturned, it seems like a good time this summer to take excerpts from the famous Encyclical Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life) written by Pope St. John Paul II. We see so many attacks on life from abortion to euthanasia (euthanasia is often very subtle, so it is very important to be well catechized!). The Gospel is truly the good news about life—ultimately about eternal life, but the life that a person has on this life is very important. Each life encompasses a supernatural call from God—every life has a fundamental value and dignity. A person is not measured by utility (what he or she can do) or physical beauty, health, etc. Now it is more important than ever to stand up for human life and PRAY and FAST for an end to abortion and euthanasia.

If you would like to read the entire encyclical at once, visit: https://www.vatican.va/content/john-paul-ii/en/ encyclicals/documents/hf_jpii_enc_25031995_evangelium-vitae.html
