Today, Congressman John Joyce issued a statement following the Energy and Commerce Committee’s advancement of its reconciliation package. The committee moved forward with legislation focused on several key areas.

Congressman Joyce highlighted the significance of the legislative measures. “Today, my Republican colleagues and I on the Energy and Commerce Committee advanced critical legislation to unleash American energy, fuel innovation in our telecommunications industry, restore rare disease treatment incentives through the bipartisan Orphan Cures Act, and strengthen, secure, and preserve the Medicaid program so that it can continue to serve future generations of Americans who need and deserve these benefits,” he stated.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring Medicaid serves its intended beneficiaries. “Ensuring Medicaid serves only its intended beneficiaries: low-income pregnant women and children, low-income seniors, and those with disabilities, will strengthen Medicaid for future generations,” said Joyce. He expressed pride in supporting the passage of this legislation as part of advancing President Trump’s agenda.
