John Joyce, M.D., a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 13th district since 2019, has recently used his social media platform to comment on legislative efforts and current events. His posts span topics from national recognition of religious texts to the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare and criticism of media reporting.
On September 2, 2025, Joyce announced his support for a resolution recognizing the Bible’s influence in American society. He stated, “Proud to support a Joint Resolution to make September 12th the National Day of the Bible to honor the Good Book’s influence on our nation’s values. On September 4, Joyce addressed what he described as inaccurate reporting by NPR regarding his voting record. He posted, “Yesterday, NPR falsely claimed that I voted against the censure of Rep. LaMonica McIver for her blatant disregard for Federal law enforcement. NPR failing to get this simple detail correct is yet another example that they are undeserving of American taxpayer dollars, as they”.
Joyce was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1957 and currently resides in Hollidaysburg. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree before entering public service.
