John Joyce, M.D., U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 13th district since 2019, recently shared updates on his legislative activities and priorities via social media posts dated April 14 and April 15, 2026.

On April 14, Joyce wrote: “As twilight descends over the U.S. Capitol, I’m back in Washington to fund the Department of Homeland Security and ensure that only U.S. citizens vote in American elections. We must stand firm against government overreach that affects citizens across these United States.”

Later that day, he highlighted constituent engagement at the Energy and Commerce Committee: “Constituents from across five counties visited Washington, DC yesterday. As their Representative in Congress, I had the honor of hosting them at the Energy and Commerce Committee to discuss current legislative developments—including my bill, the RED Tape Act, which is scheduled”

On April 15—Tax Day—Joyce referenced recent tax legislation: “Today is Tax Day! Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, hardworking families are keeping more of their money this tax season. While every Democrat opposed this historic reform, I’m proud to have worked with my Republican colleagues to deliver real relief for the American”

John Joyce has served as a member of Congress for Pennsylvania’s 13th District since replacing Bill Shuster in 2019. Born in Altoona in 1957 and currently residing in Hollidaysburg, Joyce graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
