John Joyce, M.D., a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 13th district, shared messages on social media marking Good Friday and Easter in early April 2026.
On April 3, Joyce posted a message reflecting on the significance of Good Friday: “On this Good Friday, we remember the meaning of sacrifice and the strength of faith. May today bring peace and hope to all who observe. Wishing you a blessed Good Friday!”
Two days later, on April 5, he extended Easter greetings to his constituents and followers: “On this Easter, we come together with loved ones to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. May this day bring joy and blessings to you and your family. My wife Alice and I wish you and your family a happy Easter!”
Later that same day, Joyce acknowledged an answered prayer and expressed gratitude for a successful mission involving a soldier’s return: “On this Easter morning, our prayers were answered. Thank you, God. Beyond grateful for the incredibly brave team who carried out this mission. Welcome home, soldier.”
Joyce has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bill Shuster as representative for Pennsylvania’s 13th district. Born in Altoona in 1957, Joyce resides in Hollidaysburg and graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
