John Joyce, M.D., a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 13th district since 2019, posted several updates on his social media account in early December 2025. The posts covered historical remembrance, military facility visits, and federal agricultural policy.
On December 7, 2025, Joyce marked the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack with a message honoring those affected by the event: “On this day in 1941, the United States Pacific Fleet in Oahu, Hawaii, was attacked at Pearl Harbor. Today, we pause to honor the lives lost and all who were forever changed. May we always remember their sacrifice and uphold the values that they fought to protect.”
The following day, December 8, Joyce shared details from a visit to Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg alongside Senator McCormick of Pennsylvania: “Proud to visit Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg with @SenMcCormickPA, and see firsthand the incredible work being done to support our nation’s war fighters.”
Later that same day, Joyce commented on a new federal initiative for farmers: “Today, @POTUS announced the establishment of the Farmer Bridge Assistance (FBA) Program to provide relief for hardworking farmers across the natiion. This $12 billion investment to American farmers will begin to repair damage from Biden-era policies and provide significant”
Joyce has served as a member of Congress since replacing Bill Shuster in 2019. He was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1957 and currently resides in Hollidaysburg. Before entering politics he earned his BS from Pennsylvania State University at University Park in 1979.
