House GOP Policy Committee to hold hearing on historic tax cuts

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington), Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Cambria/Somerset), and other lawmakers will host the fourth in a series of hearings titled “Historic Tax Cuts” to discuss the House Republican tax cut plan, House Bill 2388. The bill proposes reducing the Personal Income Tax and eliminating the Gross Receipts Tax on electricity.

The hearing will feature testimonies from Elizabeth Stelle, director of policy analysis at the Commonwealth Foundation; Robert Sloan, owner of PJ’s Bar & Tavern; and Ray Lenz, a local resident.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, June 20, at 1 p.m. It will take place at St. Francis University in Schwab Hall’s Vista Room located at 132 Franciscan Way, Loretto, PA 15940.
