Tuition rates for Pennsylvania residents attending Pennsylvania Highlands Community College rose by 3.1% during the 2022-23 school year, as indicated by the most recent disclosure, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

In-state students paid $9,090 to attend the two-year public college this year, which is $270 higher than the $8,820 tuition fee for the 2021-22 academic year.

Non-resident students were charged 39.6% more than in-state students in the 2022-23 school year, with tuition totaling $12,690. This reflects a 2.9% increase from $12,330 in the previous year.

Meanwhile, student loan debt has steadily increased over the last 30 years, reaching $1.75 trillion in 2024, averaging a total of $28,950 per borrower. Federal loans make up 92% of the debt, with over half of students at both public and private four-year colleges graduating with student loans.
