Conemaugh Health System has announced the appointment of Christine Stryker, MBA, MSN, RN, as its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Stryker assumes her role immediately, bringing with her over 25 years of leadership experience in nursing and healthcare operations.

Stryker’s career spans various hospital settings, from large academic centers to community-based facilities. Her leadership approach emphasizes improving patient outcomes and fostering professional development among nursing staff.

Rodney Reider, Market President and CEO of Conemaugh Health System, expressed enthusiasm about Stryker’s appointment: “We are thrilled to welcome Christine to the Conemaugh family. Her depth of experience, commitment to clinical excellence, and strong track record of leadership will be instrumental in advancing our mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care to the communities we serve.”

In her role as CNO at Conemaugh Health System, Stryker will oversee nursing operations across the organization. Her duties include leading quality improvement initiatives and guiding strategic priorities for patient care delivery.

Previously, Stryker served as Chief Nursing Officer in Pennsylvania, New York, and Michigan. In Michigan, she was CNO at UP Marquette. Her background also includes roles such as Heart Center Director and Practice Administrator for a cardiac surgery group.

Stryker holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Vermont College of Norwich University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Vermont, and an MBA from DeSales University in Pennsylvania.

“I am honored to join Conemaugh Health System and look forward to working alongside such a dedicated and compassionate team,” said Stryker. “During my visit, I was struck by the warmth of the staff and the commitment to excellence throughout the organization. I’m excited to contribute to Conemaugh’s continued growth and impact.”

Outside work commitments, Stryker enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and biking. She is eager to integrate into the Johnstown community with her husband.
